>Overall:

She is quiet and reserved. She is interested in peaceful living. She has a strongly-felt internal sense of duty. She is very loyal, faithful, and dependable. She places great importance on honesty and integrity. While she is generally take things very seriously, she also usually has an offbeat sense of humor and can be a lot of fun, especially at family or work-related gatherings.

She tend to believe in laws and traditions, and expect the same from others. She's not comfortable with breaking laws or going against the rules. If she is able to see a good reason for stepping outside of the established mode of doing things, she will support that effort. However, she is more often tend to believe that things should be done according to procedures and plans.

She is extremely dependable on following through with things which she has promised. For this reason, she sometimes get more and more work piled on herself. Because she has such a strong sense of duty, she may have a difficult time saying no when she is given more work than she can reasonably handle. For this reason, she often works long hours, and may be unwittingly taken advantage of.

She will work for long periods of time and put tremendous amounts of energy into doing any task which she see as important to fulfilling a goal. However, she will resist putting energy into things which don't make sense to her, or for which she can't see a practical application. She prefers to work alone, but works well in teams when the situation demands it. She likes to be accountable for her actions, and enjoy being in positions of authority. She has little use for theory or abstract thinking, unless the practical application is clear.

She has tremendous respect for facts. She holds a tremendous store of facts within herself, which she has gathered through her sensing preference. She may have difficulty understanding a theory or idea which is different from her own perspective. However, if she is shown the importance or relevance of the idea to someone who she respect or care about, the idea becomes a fact, which she will internalize and support.

She is not naturally in tune with her own feelings and the feelings of others. She has difficulty picking up on emotional needs immediately. Being a perfectionist, she has a tendency to take other people's efforts for granted. She needs to remember to pat people on the back once in a while.

She gets uncomfortable expressing affection and emotion to others. However, her strong sense of duty and the ability to see what needs to be done in any situation usually allows her to overcome her natural reservations, and she is usually quite supporting and caring individuals with the people that she love. Once she realizes the emotional needs of those who are close to her, she puts forth effort to meet those needs.

She is extremely faithful and loyal. Traditional and family-minded, she will put forth great amounts of effort at making her home runs smoothly. She cares deeply about those close to her, although she is not comfortable with expressing her love. She expresses her affection through actions, rather than through words.

She has an excellent ability to take any task and define it, organize it, plan it, and implement it through to completion. She is a very hard worker, who does not allow obstacles to get in her way of performing her duties. She does not give herself enough credit for her achievements, seeing her accomplishments simply as the natural fulfillment of her obligations.

She has a great sense of space and function, and artistic appreciation. She is acutely aware of her senses, and want to be in surroundings which fit her need for structure, order, and beauty.

Under stress, she falls into catastrophe mode, where she sees nothing but all of the possibilities of what could go wrong. She will berate herself for things which she should have done differently, or duties which she failed to perform. She will lose her ability to see things calmly and reasonably, and will depress herself with her visions of doom.

Back story summary:

Charlotte was born in Rush Valley, Amestris on May 24, 1898 in a small house close to the town limits. Her mother worked at a local hospital, while her father was a carpenter. Her parents loved her and tried to give her the best life she could get. Her uncle, James, would spoil her with attention. He was her favorite relative she had.

At the age of three, her little sister, Sabrina was born. The same year, James had left for the Ishvalan War. By the time she was 5 years old, she had started school.

At age six, she had met Melissa Nicholson, which in a few months, would be her best friend. She would visit her house and play games with her and Melissa’s older brother, Vincent. The Nicholson’s had a Chocolate Lab named Coco. Charlotte loved Coco very much. When she went to pet Coco, Coco didn’t like how she was being petted and bit Charlotte on her right wrist. Her fear of dogs developed after the incident.

By age eight, her mother was worried about her brother, James, since she hadn’t heard from him since after Charlotte’s eight birthday. Her mother would often look out the kitchen window and remain silent. This went on until July of that year, when it got worse.

One day, of the same year, Charlotte answered the door to an Amestrian soldier. He asked if her parents were home, and she quickly got her mother. After her mother received the news, she broke down in tears. Charlotte cried with her mother.

A month after receiving the news, Charlotte, Sabrina and her parents, along with her grandparents attended James’ funeral. Her mother took James’ death the hardest, and was depressed until February of the next year. Charlotte had often cried because she wanted to see her mother be happy, but Charlotte didn’t know how to make her happy.

At age ten, her mother was finally happy again. Her mother wanted to have a better job at nursing, so she applied to a hospital in Central. There were no available petitions at the time, but she didn’t stop trying. Her mother had her father’s full support.

At age elven, Charlotte had started developing a crush on her best friend’s brother, Vincent. She thought he was kind of cute, but didn’t know anything about relationships, so she kept it secret. He knew she had a crush on him, and thought it was adorable of her feeling that way.

When she was twelve, her mother got transferred to Central City. She wasn’t over excited about the move. She didn’t want to leave her best friends behind. She said her farewells and left Rush Valley.

When she was thirteen, she started getting interested into her mother’s work when her mother brought a patient home because the hospital was too far away. Charlotte helped her mother, and was proud of what she did.

At age fourteen, her mother taught her the basic household and kitchen chores. Charlotte asked mother if she could teach her to cook, and she agree. Charlotte liked cooking after that.

At fifteen, when she wasn’t studying, she volunteered at the hospital her mother worked at. She loved taking care of the patients at the hospital. On her free time, she would either talk or listening to the stories the patients had to say.

At sixteen, she was positive that she wanted to go to a medical school. Charlotte quit volunteering to get a part time job and earn some money. Her parents were offering to pay part of the tuition money; the rest she had to earn on her own.

At eighteen, she finally earn enough money to attend four years at medical school. She had found a nice apartment in West City before earning the rest of her money. She packed her bags, thanked her parents and left.

She is currently attending school. On the weekends, she works part time at a café to pay rent.
